Bobbie Jo Violet is a graduate of Kent State University with a MBA and a BA Degree in Economics. She began her investment career at Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor. In addition to being an accomplished Financial Advisor, Bobbie Jo brings to the Cavalena Group a broad range of executive level management experience – the kind of background that will help us better serve the needs of small business owners and managers as well as successful professionals.

Bobbie Jo served as a Principal of Apple Growth Partners, a well known regional accounting firm, where she managed sales and operations for its Employee Benefits practice. The practice specialized in the development, design, and administration of Employee Benefit Plans, including 401k, 403b, Defined Benefit Plans, Health Savings Accounts, and Flexible Spending Accounts.

She continued her work with employee benefit plans as Chief Client Officer of CPI-HR, a consulting and brokerage firm specializing in Employee Benefit Plans. During her time there, she developed best practices for structuring and managing employee benefits which were adapted by independent insurance agents across the country. For this she was recognized in 2008 by Employee Benefit Advisor Magazine as one of the “Leading Ladies” in the Industry.

What brings her back to being a Financial Advisor? “I’ve always liked helping people and there is no better way than to help them achieve their financial goals,” Bobbie Jo says. “Investing can be very complicated and confusing, couple that with today’s market volatility and people begin to feel overwhelmed. We put them at ease by helping them make an accurate assessment of their financial situation, establishing clearly defined goals, and developing a prudent strategy for reaching those goals. We work with our clients to select the appropriate investments to effectively manage risk. Having a clearly defined financial plan reduces the stress associated with investing.”

Bobbie Jo resides in Copley with her family and enjoys running, skiing, hiking, scuba diving, white water rafting, kayaking, traveling, cooking, and photography. Bobbie Jo has served on the Board of the Women’s Network of Northeast Ohio, participated in the Goodyear-Kent State Mentor Program, is a member of the Young Professionals Organization, and serves as a founding member of a local running club.

In 2006, she was recognized as a “Woman of Achievement” in Akron by the Women’s Network of Northeast Ohio.
